not working out

So there I am, having the pattern for both projects written.
I was disproportionately proud of myself!
Then I find out: The border will not work out the way I wrote it...
It doesn't even make sense on paper....UGH..
So I reach for my crochet hook and try it out, because it can't be that I was THAT wrong...
Nope... doesn't work out in reality either.
Back to the drawing board.

This is not the first time. Patterns usually morph a few times before they are done the way I want it. This one had a different pattern stitch over all in the beginning. The one I am happy with now is not even the second one I tried out...

The other project went from being crochet, to now getting knitted....
See? Designs are almost living entities with a mind of their own...don't listen and you will be frogging, rethinking, knitting and frogging again...
Back to my needles. I might take a sewing break later... ;)
